At Willoughby International School, we follow the Spanish curriculum while placing strong emphasis on English. Our balanced bilingual model ensures that 50% of the timetable is taught in English and 50% in Spanish, allowing both languages to develop naturally and confidently.
Core subjects—such as Mathematics, Spanish Language, Social Studies, and Natural Sciences—are taught in Spanish. In addition, several subjects, including Science, STEM, and Art, are taught in English, which also serves as the medium for developing language proficiency through project-based learning and innovative methodologies.
To make learning more meaningful, many projects are carried out in both English and Spanish, enabling students to internalise content naturally in both languages while strengthening their communication skills.
